hi there,

ok, the problem is that our deriver went a little "cuckoo"
and created 1000+ thumbnails for each segment of the video.

there are therefore "too many files" in the item for our
system to efficiently work for the item.

i am trying to correct it now....

There's still a problem. When I try to download one of the files I get this message:

The specified item cannot be found or its XML is unparseable...

Cheers,

Jan

Hi Jim,

OK, i just hit the download link for one of the files
and got:
http://ia300109.us.archive.org/2/items/SICP_4_ipod/Lecture-8a.MP4
and it played just fine for me just now.

can you try again?

and FYI, the "stream" links http://www.archive.org/details/SICP_4_ipod
don't appear to work (they are prolly not the nitpicky
realtime streamable quicktime-compatible MPEG4 format and are likely some other (valid) MPEG4 format...)

Can anybody tell me why my original post remains unanswered?

best wishes,
